Simplified Receptive Rubric

This is a template for a simplified grading rubric for receptive assignments. Just put a check for the score of each section then tally the total (values of scores are explained at the bottom of the page). This is more general than having to score each individual skill.

Simplified Expressive Rubric

This is a template for a simplified grading rubric for expressive assignments. Just put a check for the score of each section then tally the total (values of scores are explained at the bottom of the page). This is more general than having to score each individual skill.

ABC Story Rubric

Have students create their own ABC story to practice handshapes! An ABC story in American Sign Language is a creative way to tell a short story using only the handshapes of the ASL alphabet, from A to Z, or Z to A, in order. Each letter becomes part of the visual storytelling — for example, the "A" handshape might represent a fist knocking on a door, while the "B" could be a flat hand pushing something away. Create your own short story using letters of the alphabet in order to practice handshapes! Be creative and make sure your story makes sense to the viewer!

Self or Peer Video Evaluation
