Facial expressions

are a vital part of American Sign Language. Without expressions, your conversation would be dull and boring. If you are mad, your face needs to show it. On the other hand, if you are happy or excited, the receiver needs to see it.

When asking a question, your eyebrows need to be lowered and scrunched. With yes and no questions, your eyebrows raised.
